Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least one year of experience, AHA certifications, and availability for night and weekend call.

• Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting
• Scope of practice includes Neuro IR, Vascular IR, and General IR procedures
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Night and weekend call required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification from the AHA required (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• Minimum of one year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Ability to function independently in an IR specialty area
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing nursing care to an assigned group of IR patients, including monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed
• Administers medications, manages IV infusions, and monitors blood products
• Assists physicians during examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders
• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
• Delegates tasks to and oversees support staff and technicians
• BSN from a board-approved program is preferred
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract (extensions are limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks)
