Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least one year of experience, AHA certifications, and availability for night and weekend call.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting
- Scope of practice includes Neuro IR, Vascular IR, and General IR procedures
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Night and weekend call required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS certification from the AHA required (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- Minimum of one year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Ability to function independently in an IR specialty area
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsible for providing nursing care to an assigned group of IR patients, including monitoring physiological data and intervening as needed
- Administers medications, manages IV infusions, and monitors blood products
- Assists physicians during examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders
- Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
- Delegates tasks to and oversees support staff and technicians
- BSN from a board-approved program is preferred
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply for a new contract (extensions are limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks)
