Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a valid CA license and Epic charting experience for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule with variable start times (5x8 hours), including 0630-1500, 0830-1700, and 1100-1830
- Perform a wide range of surgical procedures including general surgery, orthopedic, endoscopic, vascular, and neurology cases
- Support trauma cases including amputations, burns, gunshot/stab wounds, and MVA with multiple injuries
- Experience with robotics preferred, including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
- Work in General OR and Thoracic settings, including VATS procedures preferred
- Epic charting system experience required
- Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
Requirements
- Active CA RN license in hand required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Copy of certifications required for consideration
- 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, may include Charge RNs/Leads
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties
- Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
- Travelers must be willing to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate, though local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
- Former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Minimal RTO accommodated for this assignment
- First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for consideration
