Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist requiring ARRT Computed Tomography certification and IEMA Radiography license to perform CT procedures in a hospital radiology department.
Details
- Work in a hospital CT Scan unit within the radiology department
- Perform computerized axial tomography procedures and assigned invasive imaging exams
- 3x12 hour day shifts totaling 36 hours per week
- Weekend shifts required
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
- IEMA Radiography License required
- ARRT Radiography (R) certification or NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification required
- ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- License required if applicable
- Demonstrated technical expertise in radiology
- Ability to multitask and coordinate patient flow while performing technical procedures requiring independent judgment
Additional Information
- Perform CT exams and invasive procedures per accrediting body and manufacturer guidelines, including multiplanar reformats and 3D rendered images
- Review cases with radiologists and patient labs/history to ensure correct exam selection
- Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast material and monitor for adverse or allergic reactions
- Screen patients for pregnancy and perform pregnancy testing when applicable
- Ensure patient, visitor, and environmental safety, reporting any safety events or near misses
- Assist in instructing students and new staff as needed
- May perform duties of CT Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence
- May assist other departmental areas during downtime and perform cross-trained modality duties as licensed
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
