Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/LDRP position requiring SC or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting in the LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) unit
- Patient population includes couplet care and high-risk OB cases
- Patient ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and 1:3 couplets
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45am-7:15pm)
- Every third weekend required
- On-call requirement of two 12-hour shifts within a 6-week period
- No floating required between units or sister facilities
- Uses Epic charting system and Omnicell medication system
Requirements
- Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Advanced and STABLE certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience required
- Couplet care and high-risk OB skills experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Provide postpartum couplet care and support for high-risk OB patients
- Facility-provided scrubs
- Free parking available
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position
- Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility, as non-local candidates are prioritized and locals are not accepted
- Previous MUSC perm staff (including PRN) must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
- During hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
