Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience and expertise in vascular, cardiac, and pediatric IR procedures.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit including Hybrid OR, Pediatric IR, and Special Procedures settings
- Patient population includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Day shift schedule, 5x7.5 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 37.5 hours per week
- On call required every 3rd weekend
- Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays per unit needs
- Epic charting system required
- Candidates must float within their skillset without exception
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology required
- NJ Radiologic Technologist License required if applicable
- BLS and ARRT(R) certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency in fluoroscopy, 3D imaging, and PACS
- Experience with visceral and vascular angiography including adrenal, mesenteric, pelvic, renal, and pulmonary procedures
- Skilled in angioplasty, stent and endograft placement, embolization (including radioembolization and chemoembolization), and thrombolysis/thrombectomy
- Experience with IVC filter placement/removal and venous/central access including ports and PICC lines
- Proficient in RFA of the liver, liver biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, chest tube and gastrostomy tube placement
- Experience with esophageal stent placement, ERCP, cholecystostomy, catheter/drain exchange, and cystoscopy
- Experience with diagnostic catheterizations (adult, pediatric, and neonatal), hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac stent placement, and Impella insertion
- Able to scrub and maintain a sterile field
- Comfortable working with isolation precautions/PPE and utilizing Rapid Response/Code teams
Additional Information
- Perform minimally invasive, image-guided procedures for a high-acuity patient population across vascular, oncologic, and complex medical conditions, including cardiac and transplant cases
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, prepping access sites, scrubbing to maintain sterile field, and maintaining equipment and inventory
- Duties include stocking supplies and using PACS for imaging
- Work within a quaternary care teaching hospital affiliated with a medical school, recognized for cardiac and transplant programs
- Hospital-provided scrubs in green/teal
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Previous facility staff must have a minimum 1-year break before returning for travel assignments
