Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift hospital position that welcomes candidates with no prior experience required, holding ARRT registration or eligibility.

• Hospital-based CT Scan department setting
• Third shift schedule, Monday-Thursday, 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• 4x10 hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week

Requirements

• No prior experience required, though 2 years of Rad Tech experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred
• Prior CT Technologist experience in a hospital or medical imaging facility preferred
• Associate's degree from a JRCERT accredited Radiology Program required, or military training graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program with active ARRT certification
• ARRT registered or registry eligible required
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Additional CT certification from ARRT or other recognized certifying body preferred
• Strong knowledge of CT imaging principles, techniques, and equipment operation
• Proficiency in CT scanning protocols, image acquisition, and post-processing techniques

Additional Information

• Perform CT scans and assist in patient diagnosis and treatment through accurate imaging studies
• Greet, prepare, and educate patients on CT scanning procedures and safety precautions
• Position patients and immobilize body parts as necessary to obtain clear images
• Operate CT scanner equipment and adjust scanning parameters to optimize image quality
• Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions or complications
• Perform image processing techniques such as windowing, reconstruction, and multiplanar reformatting
• Assist radiologists and physicians with image interpretation and documentation
• Provide guidance to colleagues on CT imaging techniques and radiation safety practices
• Participate in orientation of new staff and education of Radiologic Technology Program students
• Adhere to ALARA principles and radiation safety protocols
• Perform daily equipment checks and quality control tests
• Collaborate with biomedical engineers on equipment maintenance needs
• Participate in quality assurance activities including image quality assessments and protocol optimization
