Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-Ray Technologist for a night shift assignment performing both CT and radiographic/fluoroscopic imaging.
Details
- Hospital-based diagnostic imaging setting
- Performs both CT scans and X-ray/fluoroscopic imaging
- Night shift schedule working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, varied 8-hour shifts
- 13-week assignment
- Uses portable equipment, C-arm, hospital computer system, and PACS
Requirements
- State license required upon acceptance
- License required if applicable
- Proficiency operating radiographic, fluoroscopic, and CT equipment
- Experience with C-arm and portable imaging equipment
- Ability to adjust technical factors based on patient and body part while minimizing radiation exposure
- Knowledge of radiation safety practices
- Experience using hospital computer and PACS systems
Additional Information
- Responsible for performing radiographs as requested by physicians and following radiation safety protocols
- Assumes temporary patient care responsibility during X-ray procedures
- Transports patients as needed
- Performs clerical tasks in addition to imaging duties
- Provides services that meet the psycho-social needs of the patient population served
