Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care Med/Surg experience and an active CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Work on a Med Surg Ortho unit within a hospital setting
- Unit has 29 beds with overflow capacity for adults into pediatrics for up to 39 total beds
- Staffing includes a charge nurse, 8 RNs, and an ACT
- Patient ratio is 5:1
- Care for post-op surgical patients
- Manage cardiac drips such as amiodarone, diltiazem, and heparin
- Uses remote telemetry equipment
- Charts in Meditech EMR
- 13-week assignment on night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Requirements
- Active RN license (CO or Compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care Med/Surg RN experience required
- Prior Meditech experience preferred
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
