Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring 1 year of recent PCU experience and BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• 13-week travel assignment in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a hospital with a large cardiac patient population
• Unit includes two Tele floors and a PCU, with floating to all inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units
• Patient ratios of 1:5 for both day and night shifts, varying by unit
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Uses Meditech EMR system

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care PCU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Chemo/ONC certification preferred, allowing potential scheduling on the Oncology unit
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide care to patients with varied acute and chronic medical issues across cardiac, telemetry, and progressive care units
• Flexibility and willingness to float to other units is essential
