Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an Ortho/Spine unit requiring at least 1 year of recent specialty experience and a TN or compact RN license.

• , ital setmedset with a dedicated 5 West Ortho/Spine unit
• 26-bed unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Unit supported by unit secretary, PCTs, and a Navigator
• Cares for patients undergoing knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries
• uses coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs as part of patient care equipment
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• 13-week assignment with a 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shift schedule
• Requires 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Floating required on a rotational basis

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Strong compassion and teamwork skills required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct care to orthopedic and spine surgery patients including post-op knee, hip, and multi-level spine cases
• Navy scrubs required as part of dress code
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
