Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for a Pediatric OR position requiring Level I trauma experience and a compact or OK RN license.
Details
- Work in the Pediatric OR unit of a hospital setting
- Provide circulating nursing care for pediatric patients undergoing operative and other invasive procedures
- Night shift schedule of 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Works Monday through Wednesday plus every other Thursday, 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
- Level I trauma center experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact/eNLC) currently in hand
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute operating room environment
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Strong knowledge of AORN Standards and perioperative nursing practices
- CNOR certification preferred
Additional Information
- Plan, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate nursing care for patients whose protective reflexes or self-care abilities may be compromised during surgery or invasive procedures
- Individualize patient care based on health status, age, and procedure type
- Document and evaluate all components of perioperative care using the nursing process
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- Returning travelers may extend once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
