Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ER experience and GA or compact RN licensure.

Details

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• 12-hour night shift schedule (3x12), 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Skills required in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, respiratory care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressor administration
• Central line care/management experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure required
• Proficiency in isolation precautions/PPE and triage required
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Manage cardiac monitoring and respond to emergent dysrhythmias
• Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
• Maintain isolation precautions and PPE protocols while performing triage duties
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized prior to submission
• Holiday coverage required based on assignment period, up to two major holidays observed: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, and Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Full compliance required prior to start date to avoid scheduling delays
