Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a multi-specialty ICU position requiring MA licensure, telemetry proficiency, and prior ICU experience.
Details
- Work in a 38-bed (28+10) multi-specialty ICU (CCU/SICU/MICU/NEURO/CT) within a hospital setting
- 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week)
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- May be required to float to Med/Surg as needed
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience in a multi-specialty ICU setting required
- Nursing degree required: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
- Telemetry experience required with ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Must pass a telemetry test on day one of the assignment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required
- Basic computer proficiency required
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities required
Additional Information
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the ICU, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
- Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, and families
- Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
- Update and manage patient records, entering and interpreting computerized data
- Follow established nursing department guidelines and policies
- Assist leadership with quality improvement projects as needed
- Work alongside a collaborative and dedicated nursing team
