Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist with 2+ years of experience to provide ultrasound services across ED, Inpatient, and L&D settings.
Details
- Hospital-based Ultrasound Radiology department providing services to ED, Inpatient, and L&D units
- Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Performs general imaging ultrasound, venous extremity studies, and neonatal head ultrasounds
- Performs limited OB procedures including biophysical profile
- Uses Epic EMR for documentation
- 3x12-hour day shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
- 13-week assignment with a preference for 26 weeks
- No weekend or on-call requirements beyond scheduled shifts
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- ARRT certification required
- Experience working with neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Epic EMR experience
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Provide ultrasound imaging services across Emergency Department, Inpatient, and Labor & Delivery units
- Perform general imaging, venous extremity, and neonatal head ultrasound studies
- Conduct limited OB procedures including biophysical profiles
- Caribbean Blue scrubs required, per facility dress code policy
- Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Everyone has been very helpful and kind. The hospital is clean and pretty easy to navigate to rooms and floors. It's in a good location.
Cons
Not a whole lot of short term homes for rent but some nice hotels and rooms for rent. Not a lot of things to do during off time but DC and Shenandoah Park are a short drive. So are a lot of caverns.
