Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nurse Manager - Director of Women's Care with 5+ years RN experience and 2 years management experience for a Labor and Delivery unit.
Details
- Acute care setting within a Women's Center unit specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D)
- Cares for patients ranging from infant to geriatric age groups
- Uses EPIC as the charting system/EMR
- Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts
- Department operates 24/7, so evening and weekend calls may be required
- 13-week contract assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license (West Virginia or Compact) currently in hand
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum of 5 years RN experience required
- Minimum of 2 years management or leadership experience required
- Current certifications preferred: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC
- Unexpired driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing overall operations of nursing and patient care areas
- Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards across all patient age groups
- Maintains performance improvement activities and participates in continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives
- Assures competency of nursing personnel within the department
- Assists in formulating departmental budget and maintains efficient, effective operations
- Ensures compliance with all applicable state, federal, and local regulations, laws, standards, and protocols
- Must reside within a 100-mile radius of the facility
