Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Newborn Nursery/NICU Level III position requiring 2 years of NICU experience and on-call availability.
Details
- Work in the Newborn Nursery/NICU Level III unit of a 65-bed unit within an acute care hospital
- Care for neonatal patients with patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 4:1
- Uses isolettes, ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and breast pumps
- Utilizes Meditech and CPN EMR systems
- 13-week contract on night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- On-call requirements apply
- Required to work 4 weekend shifts per schedule
- Team includes charge nurse, team lead, transport nurse, RNs, RTs, and unit assistants
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
- 2 years of NICU experience required
- Level 4 NICU experience preferred
- Current NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certification required
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to newborns in the nursery with capability to support NICU patients as needed
- Strong teamwork and a positive, adaptable attitude are valued on this unit
- Navy scrub color required
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- One professional reference required for consideration
