Description

American Traveler is seeking a Behavioral Health RN for an Adolescent Mood Disorders unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and prior charge nurse experience.

Details

  • Psychiatric hospital setting on a Behavioral Health unit specializing in Adolescent Mood Disorders
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
  • Every other weekend required
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Uses Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR
  • Floating required to any age population as scheduling needs dictate
  • No on-call requirements
  • May be required to work as charge RN during a shift

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Standard or Compact); Maryland compact license required, license must be in-hand at time of consideration
  • Current BLS certification required; CPI certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Previous charge nurse experience required
  • Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR experience preferred
  • Must pass drug screen on first attempt; medical marijuana cards not accepted
  • Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland via Livescan prior to start

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care to adolescent patients with mood disorders
  • May serve in charge RN capacity during scheduled shifts
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Local candidates accepted
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • One pre-approved RTO request allowed
  • Former permanent employees must wait a full year before applying for a travel position
