Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT (R) certification and 1-2 years of CT experience in a hospital setting for an evening shift assignment.
Details
- Hospital-based Radiology department setting
- Evening shift, 12-hour shifts
- 3 shifts per week totaling 36 hours
- Assignment shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Shift hours from 1:00 PM to 1:30 AM
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Associate degree required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start
- ARRT (R) certification required
- Licensure in state of practice required if applicable
- Active license required, no pending licenses accepted
- 1-2 years of CT experience preferred, with 1-2 years in a healthcare setting
- 1 year of experience in CT specialty required
- Certified Computed Tomography Technologist ARRT (R)(CT) preferred
- Fluoroscopy certification preferred for Colorado-based caregivers
- Proficiency in CT equipment operation, imaging techniques, and protocols
- Knowledge of contrast administration protocols and contrast injector operation
- Proficiency with electronic imaging including image viewing, transfer, and manipulation
- Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes
- Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
- Perform exams per department protocol and review images for quality and accuracy
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
- Complete studies within department time expectations without compromising care quality
- Provide patient education and address patient/family concerns
- Coordinate care and communicate with other providers following procedures
- Practice appropriate infection control and sterile techniques
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures, and any incidents
- Administer contrast media per protocol under physician supervision and provide safety education to patients
- Stay current with CT technology advancements through continuing education
- May assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists in protocols and procedures
- Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a new travel assignment
- Background check and drug screening results required, with candidates expected to report for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
