Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an ICU position requiring 2+ years of experience and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Details
- Work in a 14-bed Level III trauma center ICU
- Adult patient population
- Patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
- Uses Cerner EHR
- Day shift schedule from 7A-7P
- 13-week assignment
- Option of 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week
- Required to float to other inpatient nursing units
Requirements
- Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS through AHA
- TNCC certification preferred but not required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

- Provide intensive care nursing to adult ICU patients in a Level III trauma center
- Facility offers state-of-the-art operating suites and comprehensive medical, surgical, and rehabilitation services
- Located in Farmington, NM in the San Juan River Valley near outdoor recreation and within driving distance of Durango, CO and Albuquerque, NM

Pros
Unit is comprised of many travelers. Core staff and travelers have all been fantastic! The unit is set up quite well to manage the surges of patients. It is the only main hospital around so it can definitely provide good experience. Most of the providers I've encountered over the last couple months actually listen to the nurses and are easy to work with.
Cons
It is definitely busy before the size of the town. I can't say I have any other cons.
