Description
American Traveler is hiring a dual-modality CT/X-Ray Technologist with ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification and Siemens equipment experience for a specialty orthopedic hospital setting.
Details
- Specialty orthopedic hospital setting performing both CT scans and X-rays
- Orthopedic exams performed in exam room settings and via portable equipment
- Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Daily caseload of up to 20 patients
- Candidate may rotate across multiple departments within the hospital or an affiliated private sector location across the street
- Work settings include outpatient, inpatient, ER, and adult ICU
- X-ray procedures include extremities, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, upper and lower extremities
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- Evening shift schedule of 3x12 hours from 2:30 PM to midnight, Wednesday through Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch
- First 2 weeks of assignment require training shifts Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6 PM
- Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required in dual X-ray and CT role
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification required
- Active NY state license required at time of consideration
- BLS certification required
- IV certification required
- License required if applicable
- Siemens equipment experience required
- Experience with portables required
- OR/C-Arm experience preferred
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or move patients and equipment in excess of 150 pounds, with or without assistive devices
Additional Information
- Perform CT and X-ray imaging across a variety of orthopedic and general procedures
- COVID vaccine required with no exceptions
- Charcoal grey scrubs required
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- RTO must be 5 days or less, with no time off permitted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Former NYU perm staff must wait 1 year before becoming eligible to return as a traveler
- Employee parking provided at no fee upon badge pickup, with street parking also available
