Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Telemetry for a Nights position requiring current NM or Compact RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
Details
- Work in the IMC MedSurgical A unit of a hospital setting
- Care for post cardiac cath and post-surgical patients
- Manage patients on high-risk medications including cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, and lidocaine drips
- Treat respiratory patients requiring NIPPV support (BiPAP, AirVo)
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Full-time, 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Current ACLS certification from AHA required
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Experience with high-risk medication drips and telemetry monitoring required
- Point of Care testing skills required
Additional Information
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, establishing care priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in line with nursing standards
- Participate in patient and family education and discharge planning
- Document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility for local candidate consideration
- Candidates previously employed at any CHRISTUS Health facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
