Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an AZ or compact license and telemetry experience.

Details

• MS/Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating to other MS units required if needed
• Potential for remote telemetry monitoring responsibilities
• Meditech charting system experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required due to potential remote monitoring duties
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Orientation held every Monday, with exceptions during holiday weeks
• Holiday coverage required
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
• Local candidates and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate
• Travel pairs are accepted
• RTO should be kept minimal and included at time of consideration
