Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, requiring a DPT degree and at least 1-2 years of experience.
Details
- 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting
- Inpatient Rehabilitation specialty unit treating adult patients
- Patient population includes stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury cases
- Common diagnoses/treatments include neuro, ortho, TBI, SCI, and cardio-pulm conditions
- Patient ratio of 1:5-7 depending on acuity
- Altered work week schedule: Sunday through Thursday, day shift 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- 36 weekly guaranteed hours
- No call requirements
- No floating requirements
- Uses Cerner EHR
- Equipment includes Smart Car, Vector, Lite Gait, Senaptec, 2nd floor TBI gym, dedicated transfer rooms, outdoor functional courtyard, and EKSO (available September)
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree required
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience required
- License required if applicable
- Preferred experience in acute, subacute, SNF, or inpatient rehab settings
- Preferred experience with functional interventions and group/concurrent therapy modes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a patient-first attitude
- AHA certifications required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient recovery needs
- Every weekend shift required
- Green scrub color required
- Report time is 8:00 AM
- On-site parking available at side or back of building
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel assignment
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
