Description
American Traveler is hiring a Trauma/Med-Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and an active SD or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Trauma/Med-Surg unit of a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital
- Telemetry unit type with typical ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
- Day/Night rotating 12-hour shifts
- Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Uses EPIC EMR
- May float to similar Med-Surg and Telemetry units within the facility
- 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 8 hours of orientation included
Requirements
- Active RN license (SD or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BSN not required for this position
- Acute care and trauma-level hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- Utilize the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide individualized patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians to plan and evaluate patient care
- Coordinate and manage care for patients with complex needs, including patient education and triage
- Promote a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors
- Must badge in and out at the facility
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility may be considered local and may have adjusted pay terms
- Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to application
