Description

American Traveler is hiring a Trauma/Med-Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and an active SD or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Trauma/Med-Surg unit of a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital
• Telemetry unit type with typical ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
• Day/Night rotating 12-hour shifts
• Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Uses EPIC EMR
• May float to similar Med-Surg and Telemetry units within the facility
• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 8 hours of orientation included

Requirements

• Active RN license (SD or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BSN not required for this position
• Acute care and trauma-level hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Utilize the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide individualized patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians to plan and evaluate patient care
• Coordinate and manage care for patients with complex needs, including patient education and triage
• Promote a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility may be considered local and may have adjusted pay terms
