Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a 13-week travel assignment in Fort Worth, TX.
Details
- Hospital-based imaging department performing CT procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients
- Cares for newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Schedule of 3x12-hour AM shifts, Thursday through Saturday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- May be required to take call
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT experience required
- ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification (AHA only) required
- TX MRT license required
- License required if applicable
- Must reside 50+ miles from the facility, no local candidates accepted
- Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions
Additional Information
- Performs high-quality CT procedures according to established exam protocols in a timely manner
- Utilizes AIDET communication techniques with patients and families to ensure correct exam and patient identification
- Prepares patients and equipment for procedures, including positioning and immobilization devices
- Demonstrates understanding of radiation dose reference levels and monitoring
- Performs iSTAT point of care testing for creatinine levels
- Adheres to safety, infection-control, and radiation policies and protocols
- Maintains equipment and work area cleanliness, coordinating with engineers and physicists as needed
- Obtains and maintains documentation including patient history, consent forms, and pregnancy/shielding precautions
- May serve as preceptor for new team members
- Caribbean Blue scrub color required
- First-time travelers may be considered
