Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring Level I Trauma experience and TNCC, PALS, and ACLS certifications.

Details

• Work in the PACU of a Level I Trauma teaching hospital
• Patient population includes adults and pediatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• 3x12 hour day shifts, rotating between pre-op (6:00a-6:30p) and post-op (8:00a-8:30p)
• On-call responsibilities include 2 weekday on-call shifts and 1 weekend 12-hour on-call shift within a 6-week schedule, plus 1 summer and 1 winter on-call holiday
• Possible floating to Tabor GI or the pain center
• Uses Cerner Aecis SurgiNet charting system
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard, Compact, or PA) required
• Current certifications: TNCC, PALS, ACLS, and BLS required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Critical Care or PACU required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• ICU background required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• SICU, MICU, and CTICU experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Cerner charting system experience required

• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO must be submitted at time of application, and additional time off requests will not be accepted after submission
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
• PA fingerprints and Childline clearance are required and must be completed within 12 months of start date
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
