Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Antenatal position requiring AWHONN-Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification and a FL or Compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Labor & Delivery/Antenatal unit of a trauma level 2 teaching hospital
- Unit includes 19 labor rooms, 12 antepartum rooms, 4 recovery rooms, 8 triage rooms, and 3 OR suites with approximately 4,000 deliveries annually
- Nurse to patient ratio of 2:1
- 12-hour night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Floating required to Family Care (Mother/Baby) unit, and possibly to NICU or PICU as additional support
- Weekend requirement of three shifts per 4-week schedule
- On-call requirement of one extra shift per 4-week schedule
- EPIC EMR experience required
- RNs will circulate and recover C-sections
Requirements
- Active FL or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications: AHA-BLS, AHA-ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN-Advanced Fetal Monitoring (or ECG competency test if certification not held)
- Minimum of 2 years of specialty experience required
- LDRP or Mother/Baby experience preferred
- Strong ECG interpretation skills required
- Immediate newborn care experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Facility is a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center with 772 beds
- Orientation held every Monday
- EPIC training required during orientation, with an option to test out; those who do not pass must complete full training before starting on the unit
- Local candidates accepted, except those with a permanent address in Tallahassee
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
