Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care setting who will work with patients of all ages, with new graduates welcome to apply.
Details
- Acute care hospital therapy unit
- Treats patients of all ages
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
- One weekend shift required per month
- No holiday shifts required
- 13-week contract
- Uses Epic for clinical documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required
- Illinois Physical Therapist License required if applicable
- BLS certification required (AHA)
- ACLS and PALS certifications may be required (AHA)
- New graduates will be considered
- Experience with screening procedures, outcome measurement, and clinical documentation
- Experience supervising support personnel such as PTAs and rehab technicians
- Skilled in patient examination methods and physical therapy diagnosis
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients while modifying plans of care as appropriate
- Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
- Designs individualized care plans integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning
- Educates patients, families, caregivers, and other providers using effective teaching methods
- Utilizes standardized outcome measures to track functional performance
- Collaborates with patients, families, and the medical team throughout the rehabilitation process
- Provides supervision and feedback to support personnel in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Communicates patient status, progress, and discharge recommendations with the care team
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
