Description
American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Level I trauma experience preferred for a 13-week night shift assignment.
Details
- Radiology/Cardiology MRI Tech position in the MRI Tech unit
- Adult acute care and outpatient settings
- Imaging areas include abdomen, pelvis, chest, breast, head/neck, brain, face/soft tissue neck, and spine (cervical, lumbar, thoracic)
- Special imaging procedures include diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, perfusion, image post-processing (ADC mapping, subtraction), and multiplanar reconstruction
- Equipment used includes GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba MRI systems along with PACS
- Charting system is Centricity
- Night shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM
- Weekend requirement includes Fridays as part of the Monday-Friday schedule plus on-call duties
- On-call required 1-2 nights per week from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM and every 5th weekend (Saturday/Sunday, 24 hours)
- No floating required
Requirements
- ARRT (R)(MR) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in MRI required
- Level I trauma experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Philips MRI experience preferred
- Experience with isolation precautions and PPE required
- License required if applicable
- Valid state license or certification required at time of consideration
- Valid references and copies of certifications required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
- Candidates must reside within 50 miles to qualify for local rate
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; time off requested after submission will not be accommodated
- PA fingerprints required and must be completed within 1 week of contract signing
- Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
- Pass/fail clinical exam required for clearance, with a maximum of 3 attempts
