Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position at a Level III trauma center, requiring 2 years of ED experience and NM or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 48-bed Emergency Department with flex space at a Level III trauma center
• Patient ratios of 4:1 in the Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
• Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric cases
• Common diagnoses/treatments include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain
• Uses Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC devices, and Ultrasound Guided IV
• Cerner EHR system used for charting
• Team nursing and Pod System with a Social Worker and Unit Educator assigned to the department
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• Minimum of two weekends required per schedule
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA issued)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• RN ADN required
• Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required

• Provide emergency care within a team nursing and Pod System structure
• Collaborate with an assigned Social Worker and Unit Educator
• Facility is a 198-bed Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
• Facility receives various Trauma Level I, II, and III cases via air transport due to its location
• Located in Farmington, New Mexico, offering access to outdoor recreation including hiking, kayaking, and national parks
