Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN Procedural for Interventional Radiology requiring at least one year of relevant experience and a compact or Oklahoma RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit
- Cases may include Neuro IR, Vascular IR, or General IR, with experience in at least two areas preferred
- Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, totaling 36 hours weekly
- Assists physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
- Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- BLS certification from AHA required upon hire
- ACLS certification from AHA required within 6 months of hire
- NIHSS certification required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience required
- Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in assigned specialty area following orientation
Additional Information
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents responses to nursing interventions and treatments
- Oversees treatment provided by technicians and other service providers, delegating tasks to support staff as needed
- Communicates care plans with patients and families both during hospitalization and at discharge
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- Compliance documentation and onboarding requirements (background checks, drug screens, medical clearance) must begin immediately upon offer, as start dates will not be pushed
- Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer to allow for compliance processing
- Returning travelers may only extend a contract one time for a maximum of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
