Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3+ years of L&D experience and active fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• Rotating holidays and weekends required
• Block scheduling is not available
• Unit includes 14 Labor & Delivery rooms, an OB Triage Unit, OB Operating Rooms, and OB PACU
• Comprehensive obstetric care provided for patients from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum
• Recently expanded with five new state-of-the-art Labor & Delivery rooms
• Patient ratio of 1:1-2
• Meditech charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• OB Triage experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active fetal monitoring certification required: C-EFM preferred, or AWHONN Intermediate accepted (C-EFM must be obtained if contract extensions reach or exceed 1 year from initial start date)
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• ACLS and AWHONN Advanced certifications preferred
• Skilled in Labor and Delivery Management and circulating for C-sections
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Charge experience preferred

Additional Information

• Must work two of the three winter holidays
• Facility is smoke free
• Completion of online training modules required prior to start, averaging 4-5 hours and completed no later than 1 week before start date
• Accepts local candidates with no radius rule and rates the same for local travelers
• RTO requests must be submitted with application and will be reviewed on a per-case basis
