Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3+ years of L&D experience and active fetal monitoring certification.
Details
- Work in the Labor & Delivery Unit of a hospital providing obstetric care from 20 weeks gestation through 6 weeks postpartum
- Unit includes 14 Labor & Delivery rooms, OB Triage Unit, OB Operating Rooms, and OB PACU
- Recently expanded with five new Labor & Delivery rooms featuring modern equipment and technology
- Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
- Rotating holidays and weekends required
- Block scheduling is not available
- Patient ratio of 1:1-2
- Preferred experience with Meditech charting system
Requirements
- Active MD RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 3 years of current Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- OB Triage experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and C-EFM (through NCC or AWHONN) or AWHONN Intermediate
- ACLS and AWHONN Advanced certifications preferred
- Skilled in Labor and Delivery Management and circulating for C-sections
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Charge experience preferred
- Proof of residency must match candidate's licensure
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive obstetric nursing care in a family-centered birthing environment
- If C-EFM is not already held, it must be obtained if contract extensions reach or exceed 1 year from the initial start date
- Must work two of the three winter holidays if assignment extends through the winter season
- Longer assignments through January 9, 2027 are available but not required
- Smoke-free facility
- No radius rule for this facility, with rates the same for local travelers
