Description
American Traveler is hiring a Level 1 Trauma Center OR RN with at least 3 years of OR nursing experience for a night shift assignment requiring an active IL RN license.
Details
- Acute care setting within a Level 1 Trauma Center's Operating Room department
- 15 operating suites with an average of 25-45 cases per day
- Case specialties include general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, ortho, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic
- Uses Epic EMR
- Night shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 2245-0715
- No floating required
- Call requirements approximately once per week and every 3rd to 4th weekend
- Charge RN available 24/7 on every shift and does not take a patient assignment
- Supported by surgical techs (1-2 per patient) and CNAs (3-4 during days, reducing to 1 by 7pm)
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
- BSN not required
- Scrubbing required
- Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels
Additional Information
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Casual professional dress required to enter/leave the facility
- Unit/department specific orientation is 1 week
- Local rate available for clinicians with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility
- No radius rule restricting eligibility
- COVID vaccine not required for this facility
- Cancellation policy allows the equivalent of 12 hours per 13-week assignment with no penalty
