Description
American Traveler seeks a Speech Pathologist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring a Master's degree and acute care experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within a 254-bed facility
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Occasional weekend shift required
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Two years of speech-language pathology experience preferred
- Acute care experience required
- Speech Pathologist license in state of practice required, if applicable
- CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
Additional Information
- Provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Reviews patient information prior to and throughout course of treatment
- Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments
- Assists in data collection of patient outcomes
- Instructs and directs support staff in accordance with national and state Practice Acts
- Supervises assistants and support staff
- Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team
- Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification, and accrediting requirements
- Required vaccinations are a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
- Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
