Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-ray Technologist for a 13-week day shift assignment, requiring current ARRT certification in both CT and Radiography.

Details

• Diagnostic Imaging department performing both CT and X-ray procedures
• Day shift schedule
• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours
• May assist with or rotate to other imaging modalities within scope of licensure/registry
• May be required to take call, work holidays, and/or weekends
• Uses PACS and RIS/HIS electronic systems

Requirements

• Current, active state license required if applicable
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Registered in at least two imaging modalities
• 2+ years of experience as a practicing Technologist preferred
• Effective communication skills and general knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Ability to learn and work with electronic records including PACS and RIS/HIS

Additional Information

• Perform quality and efficient radiologic procedures for diagnostic interpretation
• Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA standards
• Provide patient education, verify patient identification through two means, and obtain informed consent when required
• Perform QC in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and operate equipment per manufacturer guidelines
• Notify Radiologist of STAT or emergent cases and provide ordering physician contact information
• Assist with clerical duties, patient transportation, and equipment troubleshooting
• May assist, train, or cross-train other imaging staff members
• Flexible scheduling required to help cover emergencies, illnesses, and vacations
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with infection control and safety policies
• Adherence to facility dress code policy required
