Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and a current OT license.
Details
- hospital inpatient acute rehabilitation (IRF) setting
- Geriatric patient population with diagnoses including stroke, debility, brain injury, amputation, cardiac, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic conditions
- Caseload of 5-6 patients per day, mostly 1:1 treatment with some group therapy
- Day shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Weekend hours available on request
- No call requirements
- No floating required
- Uses DME and general therapy equipment
- EHR systems include UDS Prodoc and Pinpoints
Requirements
- , if applicice, Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- 1 year of inpatient rehabilitation (IPR) experience preferred
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT) required
- Basic computer knowledge required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English required

- , Deliver individualized rehabilitation treatment for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
- Work within a comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation program
- Team-oriented environment requiring a cooperative, collaborative approach
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
- Local candidates not accepted; permanent residence must be more than 60 miles from the facility
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
