Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a Neuro Diagnostics unit position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a Washington state license in hand at submission.
Details
- Respiratory Therapy and Neuro Diagnostics unit within a hospital setting
- Adult critical care and emergency department patient population
- Patient ratio of 1:3
- 13-week block assignment with variable day and night shift rotation
- Day shift hours 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and night shift hours 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
- Weekend rotation required every other weekend
- No floating between units required within the facility, though floating between sister facilities may be expected
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required, including family maternity and OB experience
- Active Washington state RRT license required in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with adult critical care and emergency department settings
- Skilled in ventilator management, airway management, and medication delivery systems
- Experience with neonatal/pediatric respiratory equipment and procedures preferred
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway management and suctioning, medication administration, and patient transport
- May provide care for patients with respiratory distress, pneumonia, aspiration, and COVID-19
- Involves neonatal and pediatric respiratory procedures such as CPAP/BiPAP, intubation assistance, and high frequency ventilation
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All time off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Former Providence facility permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- First-time travelers are considered for this position
- Candidates should not contact facility personnel directly; all communication should go through designated account or program managers
