Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (Stroke & Brain) position requiring NIHSS certification and telemetry/stroke experience.

Details

• Work in the Stroke & Brain unit (5 East) of a hospital setting with 16 beds
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Unit supported by techs
• Utilizes Welch Allyn VS machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady lift, telemetry, bladder scanner, and Doppler equipment
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• 13-week assignment with a 7A-7P shift schedule
• Scheduled for 3 shifts per week, including 3-4 weekend shifts
• Floating required to areas where competency has been demonstrated

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in telemetry, stroke, and neurology
• Cardiac drip and basic dysrhythmia skills required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• Two professional references required for Missouri placements
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to a stroke and neurology patient population with telemetry monitoring
• High employee engagement reported within the unit
• Navy blue scrubs required as part of the dress code
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
• First-time travelers may be considered
