Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring 2 years of experience and open heart, robotics, vascular, and thoracic case expertise.

Details

• Work in the Surgery Room/OR unit of a Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital with Magnet designation
• Patient population includes CVT, cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and Level 1 trauma cases
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 8-hour day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• 40 standard hours per week
• No floating required
• No weekend rotation required
• On-call responsibilities of 12 days per month
• Uses EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pump, Pyxis, Jackson table, Wilson frame, and DaVinci Si robotic system
• Support staff includes charge nurse (typically without patient assignment), transport team, CRNA anesthesia, radiology, and OR leadership

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Skills required in open heart, robotics, vascular, and thoracic cases
• Hybrid OR experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• First-time travelers considered with 2 years of experience

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and/or scrub RN duties for complex cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgical cases
• Orientation length is 1 week, varying from 2 days to a full week depending on experience, with no separate hospital orientation
• If scheduled to work on a holiday, the assignment will proceed as scheduled
• Procedural scrubs provided

• Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for this travel assignment
