Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring TNCC and NIH Stroke certifications.

Details

• Work in a 50-bed Emergency Department at a hospital
• Unit staffed with 7-8 RNs and 2-3 EMT/Medics per shift, with 8-10 RNs on mid shift
• Patient ratios of approximately 1:4 or 1:5 (estimated, not guaranteed)
• Uses EKG, cardiac monitors, and blood glucose equipment
• Meditech EMR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (Colorado or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ED experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC
• Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Stroke experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

• Provide complete emergency department care to patients across a variety of acute conditions
• Ideal candidates are energetic, collaborative, and demonstrate strong communication with staff and providers
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Local candidates will not be considered
