Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring LDRP experience and comfort working with a prison population.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit, floating between L&D and Mother/Baby
• LDRP setting requiring both L&D and Mother/Baby experience
• Patient population includes incarcerated individuals
• Responsibilities include antepartum care and procedures, obstetrical triage, and circulating for C-sections
• Uses External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM)
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float required between L&D and Mother/Baby units
• Strict no-call policy in place
• Orientation includes two 8-hour shifts followed by two 12-hour shifts with the department

Requirements

• Active TN state RN license or compact multi-state license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI (or MAB in lieu of CPI), NIHSS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E.
• Minimum 1 year of L&D and Mother/Baby experience required
• First-time travelers must have 2 years of experience
• Labor and Delivery management skills required
• Experience circulating for C-sections required
