Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring cardiac progressive care experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital inpatient setting
• Cardiac patient population including post-op CABG and post cardiac procedure monitoring
• PM shift schedule, working 7P-7A
• Weekend shifts required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac progressive care experience required
• Experience with post-op CABG and post cardiac procedure monitoring required
• Flu shot required with no exemptions granted
• Two professional references required

Additional Information

• Coordinate patient care delivery using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care
• Delegate interventions to healthcare personnel based on patient condition and staff competencies
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement integrated care plans
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• Previous permanent employment history with any Baylor facility must be verified for eligibility prior to consideration
