Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a multi-specialty ICU position requiring active MA licensure and telemetry rhythm interpretation skills.

Details

• Work in a 38-bed (28+10) multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a hospital setting
• Care for critically ill patients across CCU, SICU, MICU, Neuro, and CT specialties
• 12-hour flexible D/N rotation shifts, 7a-7:30p and 7p-7:30a
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May be required to float to Med/Surg as needed
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience with multi-specialty ICU background required
• Nursing degree required (Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred)
• Telemetry experience required with ability to independently read and interpret rhythm strips
• Must pass a telemetry test on day one
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required
• Basic computer proficiency required
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities required

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education
• Communicate and coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, patients, and families
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Maintain and update patient records and interpret computerized data
• Follow established nursing department guidelines and policies
• Assist leadership with quality improvement projects as needed
• Supported by a collaborative and dedicated nursing team
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
