Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring NRP and fetal monitoring certification.
Details
- Work in a Women's Services unit with 9 L&D beds, 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OB ED
- Patient ratio of 1-2
- Unit staffed with dedicated unit secretary, scrub tech, in-house CRNA and midwife 24/7, and OB on call
- Perform circulating in OR, IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, postpartum hemorrhage management with JADA system, and nitrous oxide administration
- Uses CPN and Meditech documentation systems
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 4 weekend shifts per month required
- May float to Mother/Baby or other departments to task
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide high-quality laboring patient care while supporting patient choice and promoting vaginal birth opportunities
- Spinning Babies and STABLE training are helpful but not required
- Laborist team model with 24/7 midwife coverage, dedicated CRNA, and OB on call
- Couplet care performed in postpartum unit, allowing newborns to remain bedside and supporting breastfeeding with donor milk availability when needed
- 8-bed Level 2 NICU with dedicated 24/7 NNP, available for high-risk deliveries
- HCA Unit of Distinction recipient in 2021 and TIPQC pilot hospital for NTSV and Team Birth initiatives
- Required dress code: hot pink top with black bottoms preferred
- Must maintain patient experience scores above 75%
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
- One professional reference required for consideration
