Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of L&D experience.
Details
- Work in a 19-room Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Rotating day and night shifts on a 3x12 schedule (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30)
- 13-week assignment
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Uses Epic charting system
- Weekend shifts required per unit needs
- On-call requirements per unit needs
- Floating required within the Women and Infant unit
- May be required to float within the metro region per facility needs
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate certification required
- AWHONN Beginner and AWHONN Advanced certifications preferred
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Prior charge experience with 2 years of experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care areas
- Responsibilities may include assisting with vaginal deliveries, circulating and scrubbing for C-sections, and recovering C-section patients
- Skilled in fetal monitoring, including external and internal fetal monitoring and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Experience with high-risk deliveries, hemorrhage/shock management, and antepartum care preferred
- Navy scrub color required
- Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
- RTO is not allowed during specified blackout periods including parts of September, October-November, and December 2026
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for the local rate
- Previous employment with UCHealth or its affiliates may affect eligibility for consideration
- Returning travelers who completed a full year on assignment may not be rebooked for at least one year
- Completion of all facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
