Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT/RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level II trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- beds facility in a Level II trauma teaching hospital in Kennewick, WA
- Works in Cardiopulmonary department covering ICU, MedSurg, NICU, and ER units
- Treats all patient populations from neonate through adult
- Responds to codes across all age groups
- Patient ratios vary by unit
- Uses PB980, EV300, and Airvo respiratory equipment
- Night shift hours from 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM
- Weekend rotation every other weekend
- No call requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy required
- Current certifications required: ACLS, PALS, NRP, and BLS
- License required if applicable
- Experience treating all age groups, including responding to codes from neonate through adult
- ICU and NICU experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care across ICU, MedSurg, NICU, and ER units
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary cardiopulmonary team
- Scrubs required in any color per facility dress code
- First-time travelers may be considered
- Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.
Cons
On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
