Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 1+ year of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting providing one-on-one patient care
• Caseload of approximately 50 patients per week
• Typical treatment sessions last 45 minutes, one-on-one with the therapist
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Thursday through Monday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 16-week assignment requiring holiday coverage
• Uses Meditech for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• State license required, if applicable
• Meditech charting experience highly preferred
• 1:1 patient ratio experience preferred
• Experience in teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II settings preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation of long and short term goals
• Orientation includes non-billable modules
• Holiday coverage is required during the assignment
• RTO should be kept to a minimum and submitted at time of application
• Travel pairs are accepted
• Both local candidates and first-time travelers are accepted at the same rate
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
