Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years experience for a night shift position at a Level I trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT (CT) certification.

Details

• Short term acute care, Level I trauma teaching hospital setting
• Adult acute care and adult outpatient patient population
• CT procedures include abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine and musculoskeletal imaging
• Special procedures include vascular CTA, biopsies, aspirations, drainage, CT arthrography, myelography, and transplant studies
• Uses GE and Siemens CT equipment with PACS system
• Cerner EMR experience required
• 3x12 hour night shifts, Thursday-Saturday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend work required
• On-call required up to 3 days per month
• Floating required within the department
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week with facility allowed up to 6 call-offs over the 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT (CT) certification required; ARRT (R) preferred
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• MRTBE Arizona license required (7-10 days to obtain)
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required
• License required if applicable
• Community hospital experience required
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Proficiency in preparation and/or administration of contrast media required
• Skill in starting peripheral IVs preferred
• NICU and PICU experience preferred
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask efficiently
• Must be flexible and willing to work hard

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of CT imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine and musculoskeletal imaging
• Conduct special procedures such as vascular CTA, biopsies, aspirations, drainage, CT arthrography, myelography, and transplant studies
• Utilize multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) for image display and post-processing
• Scrubs are provided
• Free parking available

• RTO requires Unit Manager's approval
• Candidates must be available to work 2 of the facility's recognized holidays
• Adherence to facility quality and patient safety standards, including medication administration (BCMA), is required
