Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the MS/Tele unit of a short-term acute care teaching hospital with Level IV trauma designation
- Float between two MS/Tele units based on facility needs
- Patient ratios of 1:4/5
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required and travelers must be open to working where most needed
- Uses Cerner charting system
- Standard med surg/tele equipment used, including Liko lifts available in most patient rooms
- Facility utilizes BCMA for medication administration
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or valid compact license required (pending license accepted at submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- BSN preferred
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Strong MS/Tele experience required; ICU/PCU experience a plus
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care within a flex pool environment across MS/Tele units
- Care for patients requiring cardiac telemetry, respiratory support, and general medical-surgical needs
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Free parking available on-site
- Candidates must be comfortable floating within the facility, to nearby affiliate hospitals, or to other units based on skills and census needs
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted
- Time off requests require unit manager approval
- Must be available to work 2 designated facility holidays
- Previous staff who worked directly for the health system must have a 12-month separation before returning as a traveler
- Travel pairs accepted for this unit
