Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a Level I trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- Work in the CT department of a short-term acute care, Level I trauma teaching hospital with 268 staffed beds
- Adult acute care and outpatient patient population
- Performs abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal CT studies with and without contrast
- Special procedures may include CT arthrography, transplant studies, and vascular CTA
- Uses GE and PACS equipment
- Cerner charting system experience required
- 3x12-hour day shifts, Thursday-Saturday, 9:00 AM-9:30 PM
- Weekend work required
- On-call required up to 3 days per month
- Floating required within the department and potentially to nearby affiliate facilities or units based on skills and census needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- ARRT (R) certification preferred
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- AZ MRTBE license required (license required if applicable)
- AZ fingerprint clearance card required
- Community hospital experience required
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- Cerner charting system experience required
- Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media
- Peripheral IV starts preferred
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask efficiently
- NICU and PICU experience preferred
Additional Information
- Perform a range of CT imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal exams
- Scrubs are provided
- Free parking available
- Must adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards, including medication administration protocols (BCMA)
- Candidates must be available to work 2 of the facility's recognized holidays
- RTO requires unit manager approval and none is permitted during the first week of assignment due to orientation
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Must be willing to work hard and remain flexible as needed
